Product Review: Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream

I missed school today, I didn't get any sleep! I was tossing and turning all night. Then when I do finally sleep, I wake up almost every 15-20 minutes in between. It got really annoying that I turned off my alarm and slept until 10AM. Does any one have this problem too? I was kind of grumpy through out the day here and there. My under eye circles (thanks to genetics) get dark quick. I look like a panda.

So, those of you who have read my post about TheFaceShop's Quick & Clean BB Cream on my old blog, then you know how much I like BB Creams. I was running out of the Skinfood Mushroom BB Cream sample (which I adore) and decided to try out the Missha one since I've been hearing quite some raves on youtube and blogs.

I purchased the Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream in No. 23 from EBay for about $14USD. I actually got this during the summer, so I was a bit tan. The color had a gray undertone to it, so I was cautious. Comparing this to the Skin Food Mushroom BB Cream, it has a thicker consistency and doesn't spread as smoothly. Even though its not as smooth, it doesn't look patchy at all when applied. I also like packaging - I like how its a squeeze tube so I can control the amount of product I want.

I know that in this picture it seems that the color might match me, but in reality, its actually a lot lighter. The amount of product you see on my hand is enough for both my cheeks. I've used it constently for about about 2 months and its probably not even half empty. What I do like about this product though is if I applied a thin even layer and wait a few mintues for my skin to absorb the product, it blends with my skin slightly. It did do well with lightening my acne scars, though it did not cover it completely. Not that I think it would but it was decent coverage.

Downfall of this product? I didn't really see my skin improve compared to TheFaceShop and Skinfood BB Creams. In fact, I'm thinking that some of my newly sprouted blemishes were caused by using this BB Cream. I stopped using it for about maybe a month now and my skin has recovered fairly well. I'm pretty sure this formula is a little strong for my skin. It's also not hydrating enough because I find that my skin gets flakey at times when I use this product. I'd probably recommend this for oily skin and tell people with drier skin types to steer clear and look into other BB creams.
MY RATING:
Packaging - 4/5
Coverage - 3/5
Overall - 3.5/5

I'm still lemming these LE palettes from Maquillage. I'm stuck on whether to buy both or just one - its so hard to choose...UGH! If there's any one out there that has these palettes, please let me know what you think of them. Or if you know any one who has done a review, please let me know!

  2. Oooh, aren't these the summer palettes? I don't own anything from MQ except for a concealer, sorry!

  3. I'd go for the golden palette, but I'm currently smitten with more neutral shades. Both are pretty, though.

Haha, yeah, my skin recovers pretty fast, but if I were to get scars, those last me at least a month or so if I didn't do anything with them!

Aww, that's fine. Yup, these are the summer palettes, when they first came out I didn't know whether I wanted them or not, then when I kept thinking about it, I wanted to buy one. But I don't know which one to buy, haha!

I'm more into neutral shades atm as well, the gold is nice, but I can't help noticing the ivory blue color in the silver palette also. They're both so nice. -_-"

TheFaceShop BBs are pretty good, you should definitely give them a try when you have a chance. (:
