I HOPE ALL OF YOU HAD A GREAT THANKSGIVING!

So most of you know or heard of Black Friday. I believe its pretty similar to warehouse sales, stores open as early as 3AM and you can get a lot of items 30%-60% off. I was so ecstatic last year because I got a ton of stuff, but sadly, this year I hardly got anything. I wanted to get some clothes, but the items that were on sale were not....nice, haha. I was so disappointed that I even forgot to step into Sephora to get something for a swap, lol!

So, I didn't get anything make up related - sadly, I really wanted to get my hands on NARS Sheer Glow Foundation and the Book of Shadows II as I missed their F&F sale! But I'm actually eyeing 2 palettes from Beauties Factory - well, maybe 4 (ha!) so I can't wait to get those and review them for you lovelies!

I've always stayed away from news as I hate hearing and knowing about things like this going on in our society. But as Thanksgiving arrived, I saw this video (below) of Sam (you may all know her and Nic's channel pixiwoo) doing a makeup tribute to Sophie Lancaster, a victim of hate crime.

Sometimes I do get questions about my brushes, like which ones I recommend and which ones I would purchase first. This is so long overdue - sorry Vonvon! I'm going to review some of my brushes I've had for years and some that I've acquired the last few months. I'm not going to lie, I am fond of brushes and I do intend to get more because I'm so lame like that - plus, I can get lazy washing brushes so having back ups are helpful. Besides, there's no such thing as having enough brushes right? *wink*

Here's what I have so far - and yes, I do manage to use them all, lol.

I've never been fond of using liquid foundation as I hate the feeling of it on my skin. I've always stuck to mineral foundation since its feels much lighter and doesn't look obvious. I don't recommend anyone using foundation at all unless you feel you really need it (i.e redness, blotchy-ness, acne scarring etc.) only because there really is no need to wear foundation if you have pretty decent skin. I'd recommend a tinted moisturizer or a powder foundation more than anything.

Anyway, I've tested quite a few foundations before and none of them worked for me. I've pretty much given up and went back to my Pur Minerals Pressed Foundation, but I saw this and wanted to give it a try. A few of you may have already read or watched reviews on this product already, but one more wouldn't hurt right? Its Maybelline's SuperStay 24-Hour Makeup.
